A few things worth knowing

Casa Sul Monte is a traditional Italian village home. We've refreshed and equipped it to provide a clean, comfortable and welcoming place to stay, while retaining the character of the original house.

Here are a few things worth knowing before you book.

Access & Parking

Casa Sul Monte is located within the historic village of Castelluccio Superiore.

Parking is available a short walk from the house. Reaching the property involves village paths, steps and some uneven surfaces.

The house is therefore not particularly suited to guests with significant mobility difficulties.

Heating

For cooler months, the house has a traditional fireplace in the lounge and a wood-burning stove on the first-floor landing.

Wi-Fi

Mobile Wi-Fi is available at the house.

Because Casa Sul Monte has very thick traditional walls, the signal can be weaker in some areas of the house. The strongest connection is generally on the first floor, while mobile 5G can also be available depending on your provider.

The Garden

The garden is still being developed, but the large patio and pergola are ready to enjoy.

There is space to sit in the sunshine or relax in the shade, with outdoor seating and views across the garden, village and surrounding countryside.

We've kept the character and charm of the original house while investing in the things that make a real difference to your stay. The entire house has been professionally redecorated in fresh white, with a brand-new kitchen and corner sofa, new mattresses and bed slats, and new bedding and towels throughout.

It's a place to settle into, enjoy the views, cook together, spend time outdoors and experience the slower pace of life in a beautiful Italian mountain village.
